Greed... Is Good.
I stumbled upon an old movie today that had an interesting character created by Hollywood. In this movie, this interesting character echoed a quote that some of us hear quite often.
Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures, the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the U.S.A.

Greed is all the United States know and we justify it by throwing in words like war and weapons. Americans have only known, since the landing of the first foot on this soil,to take and conquer and keep conquering even after we consume all that is in front of us. Greed is our nation's tragic flaw. We will succeed only temporarily, but the high wears off eventually.
