Growth, by Clyde Ellington Grant II (image.in)
This image happens to be one of the first in a series of photographs in which I'll connect scenes of plant-life to that of human beings. Growth represents the ever-growing (and in some parts, dying) network of connections that we all have to one another. Whether it be through blood, friendship, common interest, or just the fact that we're all human- we contain some inkling of connection, sameness. In a world that seems to be gradually embracing being different, we should also take note that being quick to point out what separates ourselves from one another, sometimes creates distance between us. Growth is an ode to our undying connection as an extended family.
